A sweet thank you for "O" and platelet donors

O-Negative, O-Positive and Platelet donors

Make February sweet for patients across South Texas – give blood! All presenting donors receive a voucher for a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. Be a hero – bring donuts for the office or home.

To help us replenish the O-negative and O-positive blood supply and to meet the need for platelets, these donors receive an additional $10 Krispy Kreme gift card when you donate at a San Antonio donor room. Use the gift card for coffee, orange juice, online or in-store merchandise.

*Krispy Kreme $10 gift card only available when you donate at a San Antonio donor room.*

Did you know?

  • O-negative blood can be transfused to patients of all blood types. It is always in great demand and often in short supply.
  • When O-negative blood is in short supply, O-positive blood is used in traumas.
  • Patients with traumatic injuries, undergoing cancer treatments or receiving transplants need more platelets than their bodies can produce.

How your donation makes a difference

For 45 years, the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center (STBTC) has been saving lives with the support of donors.

Your donation ensures the blood supply is replenished and ready for patients like Bella, a 2-year-old who is fighting leukemia for the third time.
